Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia, translated from the Georgian “warm source”, the old name is Tiflis. It is the largest city of Georgia, located on the banks of the Kura River with a population of over 1 million people. The city was founded in the 5th century. Tbilisi is the ancient cultural center of Georgia. In the southeastern part of the city is its historical core - the Old Town with narrow streets that preserve the features of medieval buildings. Here you can see the ruins of the Narikala citadel, later completed by the Turks in the XVI-XVII centuries, the Anchiskhati stone church, the Metekhi church, the cathedrals of Sioni and Sameb.
The city of Mtskheta is the most sacred city for pilgrimage in Georgia and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is one of the main tourist destinations in Georgia.
Jvari is a Georgian monastery and temple of the first half of the 7th century. Located on top of a mountain at the confluence of Kura and Aragvi near Mtskheta - where, according to historical sources, the holy Nina Equal to the Apostles erected.
Gori is a city in eastern Georgia, the center of Shida-Kartli region and the center of the municipality of the same name.
