Day 1
11:00 - group gathering at the Mineralnye Vody railway station (near the main entrance from the city side). 11:30 - group gathering at the airport of Mineralnye Vody (near the main entrance). City Mineralnye Vody - with. Upper Baksan - Adyr-su gorge - Ullu-Tau alpine camp. Transfer by minibus to the village of Verkhny Baksan (2.5-3 hours). Here the familiar road ends and rests on a mountain lift. This is a unique structure, where the car is placed on a special platform, which with the help of a cable along the rails rises to a height. At this point, an instructor with tourists walk up the stairs to the entrance to the Adyr-Su Gorge, the elevation difference is 50-60 m. (5 minutes walk). We carry personal items and products with us! If the mountain lift works, then we lift things on the lift. In the Adyr-Su gorge we change the usual minibus for mountain transport! Only 12 kilometers left on the mountain road - and we are already in the heart of the mountains. It is here, at an altitude of 2380 m, that one of the highest mountain climbing camps in the North Caucasus is located - Ullu-Tau. In this place we will live the next four days. Walking from transport to the alpine camp takes 5 minutes. Moving and border formalities take a lot of time, we will be at the place by evening. Today we have time to walk around the territory of the alpine camp, near the Adyr-Su river and at the end of the day we will admire Mount Ullu-Tau in the sunset rays of the sun!
Day 2
Adyr-Su Gorge, Silver Spring, Dzhailik Alpine Camp, Koyavgan River Gorge. In the morning we go for a walk in incredibly beautiful surroundings! Coniferous forests, snowy mountain peaks, a noisy river - these are all our favorite Adyr-Su gorge. Gradually get used to this beauty! Today is a light, walking day. First, visit the spring with silver water. This is not even a source, but a whole river! Holooooooooodnaya)))))), but so transparent! In this place, some of our tourists always swim, others lie on the ground, take the form of a starfish and enjoy the clouds with a peaceful look. And some tourists immediately rush to the nearest hillock to look at the view. After an hour, we remove some tourists from the hill, catch others from the source, take all our starfish with us and move on! A comfortable mountain road leads us to the former Jailik camp. Here we ride on a mountain swing, and then climb to an excellent observation deck. From here, the snowy four-thousander Ullu-Tau will be in front of us, in full view! Move on! We look into the gorge of the Koyavgan River and admire the small waterfall. We will go up a little higher along a good path, from where a great view of the Kulumkol gorge opens. In this gorge is the Living Lake, which we will visit in a few days. The active part of the route: 12.3 km, elevation 2380-2510 m, the duration of the route is 6 hours.
Day 3
Trekking to the foot of Ullu Tau Mountain. From the first steps the Adyr-Su gorge meets tourists with alpine meadows and snowy mountains. This is an amazing, picturesque corner of the Caucasus, surrounded by the sky-high peaks of Chotchat, Twin, Triangle. And in the very center of the gorge, the mistress of these places rises - Mount Ullu-Tau. 4207 meters of stone, snow and ice! It would seem that sharp rocks, stones and ice can never give softness to forms. But this is not about Ullu-Tau! Nature has created this mountain so semicircular, soft, welcoming and kind. Highlanders, forget-me-nots bloom at its foot and a geranium spreads on a purple carpet. A well-trodden hiking trail leads to the foot of Ullu-Tau and the "Glade of Desires". Dozens of stone pyramids have already been built here. Choose the stone you like, make a wish and carefully put the stone in one of the pyramids. By the way, if we want, we can build our own personal pyramid. Most importantly, before going here you must believe that your cherished desire will be fulfilled by the wonderful Mother Mountain. Today we will meet "male" and "female" stones, a stone of health. Therefore, we enjoy the beauty, believe in miracles and recharge with positive energy! The active part of the route: 8.4 km, elevation 2380-2680 m, the duration of the route is 5-6 hours.
Day 4
Kulumkol Gorge, Living Lake. Did you make a wish at Glade to quickly and easily climb up the mountains? Today it will come in handy! The trail along the Kulumkol gorge quickly runs up. Several times we will have to cross mountain rivers. The higher we rise, the more interesting the landscapes: in the distance, the Adyr-Su gorge remains, the Dzhailik alpine camp will be visible. Around the peaks rise Ozernaya, Theremin, Triangle. Playfully looping through the mountains, the path leads to the Living Lake. According to legend, the lake gives health and new vitality! After swimming in the Living Lake, we have a picnic in this sky-high place and go on the return trip. The active part of the passage along the route: 11.5 km, elevation 2380-3200 m, the duration of the route is 8-9 hours.
Day 5
Baksan Gorge, Terskol Gorge, Terskol Glacier. In the first half of the day - eviction from the Ullu-Tau camp. We say goodbye to the Adyr-Su gorge we love and move to the Baksan gorge. On the one hand we will have Mount Cheget, on the other hand - snowy Elbrus. The beauty!
13: 00-14: 00 - check-in at a hotel in the village of Terskol.
Today we go for a walk in the gorge of the Terskol River! This gorge will delight us with its magnificent pine forests and the sparkling Terskol glacier. Rising a little higher, we will see the Main Caucasian Range and the stunning Semerochka glacier. And in the distance of the gorge, the full-flowing Terskol waterfall opens, flowing down the basalt rocks. The active part of the passage along the route: 7.6 km, elevation 2180-2490 m, the duration of the route is 4 hours.
Day 6
Waterfall "Girl's braids", observatory "Peak Terskol." This waterfall is called “Girl’s braids” for a reason. It seems as if a proud bitterness crouched on the slope of Elbrus, turned away from us, and long, loose hair flowed over her shoulders. That is how water from the Elbrus glaciers slowly flows down the basalt rocks ... The waterfall is located on the southern slope of Terskol peak. It is born from the Gara-Bashi glacier and appears before tourists in all its glory. The height of the waterfall is 30 meters! Daredevils can even go over the waterfall. Yes, it will be wet, it will be fresh! But what pictures are obtained here! After the photo shoot we go to the observation deck near the waterfall. You won’t believe it, but it’s so nice to sit here, eat chocolates and admire the grandiose panorama of the Main Caucasian Range. Let's go higher! A comfortable road leads us to the Terskol Peak Observatory. This place will give us stunning views of the Baksan Valley, the Terskol Gorge and the peak of Elbrus. Note!! The instructor decides to visit the Terskol Peak Observatory based on the physical condition of the group. Day 7
Azau waterfall, cable car to Elbrus. Today we are leaving for the highest point of the Caucasus - a snow-white, two-headed Elbrus! We’ll climb the cable cars to the very skies, at Krugozor, Mir, and Gara-Bashi stations! From here, from a height of 3850 meters, we will look at our beloved Mount Ullu-Tau, Bezengi and the entire Main Caucasian Range. Before us, at a glance, there will be sparkling glaciers and snow-capped mountain peaks! By the way, do not forget the fellow soldiers! Today we ride on them on a snowy hill. Also along the way we will visit the 70-meter Azau waterfall, which is located on the slope of Elbrus. The active part of the passage along the route: the path to Mount Elbrus and back - 7.6 km on foot, elevation difference of 2180-2380 m; Climbing by cable car - a height difference of 2380-3850 m. The route takes 5 hours.
Relocation to Mineralnye Vody
19: 00-19: 30 - arrival in Mineralnye Vody to the railway station and airport, departure home. Return tickets should be purchased on trains / planes that depart after 20:00.
